MARSHALL & PARSONS LTD TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • Marshall & Parsons Ltd may be referred to as M&P Tools
  • The head office address of Marshall & Parsons Ltd is 1111 – 1115 London Road, Leigh on Sea, Essex, SS9 3JL & as such any content is covered under UK copyright & owned by Marshall & Parsons Ltd.
  • No personal details or information, which we are provided with, will be passed on to any third party.
  • By using Marshall & Parsons Ltd you agree that email is an acceptable form of communication.
  • All images used by Marshall and Parsons Ltd are for illustration purposes only. Marshall and Parsons Ltd cannot be held responsible for manufacturer changes to product which may result in inaccuracies with colour definition or description.
  • It is the customer’s responsibility to read the item description before purchasing the goods to ensure they are purchasing the correct items & following any instructions we provide.
  • When placing an order with us, you must ensure that you provide us with the correct & complete delivery address & telephone number. Marshall & Parsons Ltd will not be held responsible for orders that are dispatched to addresses that are incorrect.
  • Any incorrect or false credit card details entered on the site will result in a full investigation and possible prosecution.
  • We use only mainstream couriers, who may deliver your order to a neighbour or business nearby. In this occurrence, the order will be considered at delivered by us as this is now considered as normal delivery practises.
  • To cancel an order we must be notified by email or telephone (01702 470100) as soon as possible prior to dispatch. If the order has been dispatched the customer has 30 days to return the goods in its original packaging, in a saleable condition & with the proof of purchase. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that the goods are returned in good condition. We advise using a tracked service in this instance. The cost of returning the goods will also be at the customer expense.
  • Any returned goods to Marshall & Parsons
  • Orders which are delivered incorrectly, damaged or shortages must be notified with 7 days of receipt. If the packaging is damaged on arrival & the goods had to be signed for, failure to sign for the parcel as damaged will mean we are unable to process a claim. If the customer fails to notify us of a shortage within 7 days Marshall & Parsons Ltd will not be eligible to fulfil the shortage on an order. If goods are found to be damaged or not as described, these must also be reported with 7 days of receipt.
  • Marshall and Parsons Ltd will notify the customer on the dispatch of their goods by email. Any tracking details will also be added to ensure the customer is kept informed of their delivery.
  • Marshall & Parsons Ltd are not responsible for any loss of earnings or financially inconvenienced if your order is delivered late, not completed or arrives in a damaged state or incorrect.
  • Marshall & Parsons Ltd do not take responsibility for manufacturer warranties issued with goods unless we specify any different within the product description. If your goods are under warranty please call us on 01702 470100 & we will be able to advise you further.
  • Marshall & Parsons Ltd reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.

Returns/Refunds Policy

All the returns procedures listed below are subject to you notifying us by phone or email prior to returning the item back to us:
  • You may return an item for any reason within 7 working days of receiving the goods. We will not be held responsible for the method of postage used to return the goods or the payment of the transit back to us. We strongly recommend that you use a traceable service to return any items, defective or otherwise.
  • We reserve the right to refuse a return if the item is not in a resalable condition. In some circumstances we may also charge a minimum of a 15% restocking charge (this fee can vary depending on the product). If for any reason we agree to collect goods from an agreed address, we cannot be held responsible for collection failures. In such an event, the customer must return the goods at their own cost regardless of the original reason for collection.
  • If you wish to return an item because of an error on our part, or it is defective, please contact us and we will arrange collection of the goods. We can only cover your return postage costs if agreed prior to returning the goods. The item(s) must be returned within 30 days of purchase, provided you retain a copy of a proof of purchase.
  • When an item is returned to us from Royal Mail or our carriers because it was undelivered and arrangements were not made to redeliver or collect, we will resend the item when payment for the full cost of delivery is made. This charge may be at a higher cost than the original carriage paid.
  • We cannot be held responsible for any costs incurred during communication with Marshall and Parsons Ltd whether that communication be via telephone, e-mail or otherwise.
  • All returns are subject to the goods being complete, unused and in a resalable condition. This includes the goods packaging.
  • Any quoted delivery charges apply only to mainland UK addresses, excluding some areas of Scotland, Ireland and outlying islands. We reserve the right to charge additional postage for international delivery or to remote areas of the UK mainland. This is entirely at our discretion.
  • We regret that we cannot refund incorrectly supplied goods if they are not returned in a resalable condition, with the original packaging. Customers are urged to check deliveries upon receipt.

WEEE Regulations

  • The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive is now UK law. The legislation aims to make producers pay for the collection, treatment and recovery of waste electrical equipment.  The regulations also mean that suppliers of equipment like high street shops and internet retailers must allow consumers to return their waste equipment free of charge.
  • The amount of WEEE we throw away is increasing by around 5% each year, making it the fastest growing waste stream in the UK.
  • Much of the UK’s WEEE ends up in landfill, where the lead and other toxins it contains can cause soil and water contamination. This can have a harmful effect on natural habitat, wildlife and also human health.
  • Many electrical items that we throw away can be repaired or recycled.  Recycling items helps to save our natural finite resources and also reduces the environmental and health risks associated with sending electrical goods to landfill. 
  • Distributors of new Electric and Electronic Equipment (EEE) have a part to play in reducing the amount of WEEE going into landfill sites.
  • Marshall & Parsons Ltd is obliged under these regulations to offer our customers free take-back of their WEEE on a like-for-like basis when they buy a new Electrical or Electronic product from us.
  • For example, if a customer bought a new EEE from us we would accept their old WEEE and prevent it going into a landfill site by disposing of it safely. Customers must return their WEEE item to us within 28 days of purchasing their new item.
  • Under the WEEE Regulations, all new electrical goods should now be marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol shown below:

  • Goods are marked with this symbol to show that they were produced after 13th August 2005, and should be disposed of separately from normal household waste so that they can be recycled.

The Waste Batteries and Accumulators Regulations

  • Under the Waste Battery Regulations, Marshall & Parsons Ltd are now offering a take back scheme for all portable waste batteries. We cannot accept batteries by post but if you are in the vicinity of our offices (see contact us page / returns section of this page for address), please bring them to us for safe disposal.
  • Alternatively, you can find your local waste portable battery recycling facility at www.recyclenow.com. Most supermarkets and shops that sell batteries will have collection bins for used batteries, and some town halls, libraries or schools may also set up collection points. End-users may find stores in their local area more accessible.
